A Note from our President, Patsy Horner

Welcome back to another wonderful year!!

This year promises to be filled with exciting programs and fantastic trips.  We will start the year with a program on herbs, presented by Ginia Keen Mattern, a Harris County Master Gardener.  Other fascinating program topics include blueberries, bees, and bugs, as well as a visit from Brenda Beust Smith, the Lazy Gardener!

In addition to our programs, several great trips have been planned.  Our travels will begin with a tour of The Heritage Society’s homes at Sam Houston Park.  Later we will take trips to Central Texas to visit Ellison’s Greenhouse in Brenham and the Antique Rose Emporium in Independence.  Trips to local attractions and events are also being organized.

Our Plant Sale will be the highlight of our spring activities.  Plans for this event are already in progress.  Last year’s sale was a tremendous success, and with continued support from all our members, this year’s sale will be outstanding, too.

As you can tell, we are planning another fabulous year where there will be something to learn and enjoy every month!

See you on Wednesday, September 7, as we begin our new gardening year!!
