Gardeners By The Bay (GBTB) meetings are the first Wednesday of the month, September to March, at University Baptist Church, 16106 Middlebrook Drive, Houston, TX 77059. Hospitality with refreshments begins at 9:00 am, the meeting at 9:30 am.
January 4th Meeting: “Bees” - Don Angle, President of Harris County Beekeepers
Horticulture Section - Mary Demeny: This year’s focus will be on vegetable gardening with a different one each month. Of course, she will take questions about any subject. Bring pen and paper to take notes!
January 12th Trip to Moody Gardens Pyramid and Greenhouses
February 1st Meeting: “Keeping Bugs and Plagues in Check” - Gaye Hammond, Past President of Houston Rose Society
February 15th: First Planting Party to prepare for plant sale — bring your transplants and divisions.
February 21st: Last Planting Party to prepare for April plant sale.
March 7th Meeting: “Plumerias Around the World” – Eulas and Lake Stafford, Eulas Stafford is a Past President of the Plumeria Society of America
April 4th: Annual Plant Sale, 9 am – 12:30 pm
April 13th: Carpool to the sale of The San Jacinto Branch of America of Begonia Society
April 17th: Trip to the Antique Rose Emporium
May 2nd: Spring Luncheon at 11:30, followed by tours of members’ gardens
July 11: Summer Luncheon at Sundance Grill II
Monthly meetings resume in September!
I am relatively new to Houston. Moved here from northern Missouri. An entirely different growing challenge, as you can imagine. What time do your meetings start? I would love to attend a meeting to get an idea of how to proceed with my yard’s “remodeling”. Thanks!!

Where will GBTB Annual plant sale be held this year?
