		<description>Hi, Karen,

Thank you for asking about the plant sale. It will be at the University Baptist Church again, at the Southwest Portico, where we had it last year.

Hope to see you there!

<description>I am a &quot;regular&quot; volunteer with the Bay Area Habitat For Humanity in Dickinson/LaPorte, and have been in charge of landscaping most of their newly built homes for over three years. We now do a low-maintenance garden in front of each house --- not just a bush and tree. I&#039;ve had wonderful Saturday morning volunteers, but sadly, a severe drops in donations have left me without enough funds to give the new homeowners a small garden which instills pride in ownership and helps the entire community.

I would like to have about 30 minutes at one of your meetings to give a presentation to your garden club to see if you might be interested in landscaping one of our new homes --- two are closing in LaPorte in February. It is such a worthy cause and several people should be able to complete a garden in three or four hours. I would be a liaison between Habitat, the new homeowners and your club. Also, any day of the week close to the day the homes are dedicated would be fine, other than Saturday mornings since every Saturday morning is full of volunteers and regular staff working on the scheduled building chores which makes landscaping difficult.

I would love to hear from you!
