Gardeners by the Bay (“GBTB”) garden club meets the first Wednesday of each month, September through May and our meetings are a mix of social time, business of the group and educational programs.  Meetings are held in Bouton Hall at the Webster Presbyterian Church, located at 201 NASA Parkway, Webster, Texas 77598. We begin hospitality with refreshments at 9:00 AM. followed by the meeting at 9:30 AM.

Typical program topics include native plants, container gardening, yard art, landscaping, lawn care, composting, organic gardening.  A growing number of our members are certified Texas Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists, who are happy to share their knowledge.

Gardeners by the Bay offers periodic field trips to places of interest such as: independent garden centers that offer a wide variety of plants well-suited to the greater Houston area; public gardens, places of interest with an emphasis on noteworthy gardening spaces.

For members, GBTB publishes a monthly Newsletter “The Gardening Thymes” featuring GBTB news, events and member club updates.  Committee specific publications provide education for club members in the areas of horticulture, conservation, propagation, growing vegetables, floral design, and environmental preservation.
