Plant sale will be in the back of the Webster Presbyterian Church parking lot.
Items for Plant Sale, Wednesday, April 3, 2024
Home grown and propagated plants:
1. Plant must be labeled with its name. The scientific name is not necessary.
You can mark on adhesive labels, popsicle sticks, cut up Venetian blinds, plastic
knives, etc. Labeling beforehand will save the rest of the club precious time on sale
day.
2. If the plant is in a pot, the plant should appear healthy and must have
roots.
If it looks like something you would not purchase for $1 yourself, do not bring to
the sale. Keep it at home and grow for another year. Do not bring if it looks
unhealthy, is rotting, or brown. Please use your common sense.
Plumerias and bare-rooted plants and bulbs must be labeled and come with
instructions on how to care for them.
If the plants you donate are precious to you, and they remain unsold, please
retrieve them at the end of the sale (you may want to mark the bottom of the pot
with your name). Otherwise, the plants will go to the Heritage Gardeners Garden
Club in Friendswood.
Plants bought from a plant nursery in flats:
Colorful, pretty annual and perennial bloomers always add attractiveness to
a sale. If you are donating plants recently purchased from a plant nursery, try to
separate the plants from the flat so they can be sold individually. Remove price
tags. If separation is not possible, the club will price and sell the entire flat.

As you are downsizing and cleaning out your house and you come across
items that you think someone else can use and may buy, please donate to sell at our
“Boutique” Table. We will take used gardening items, useful pots, books,
cookbooks, magazines, plant labels, seeds from your garden, gardening journals,
tools in good shape, gardening soaps, lotions, totes, baskets, crafts, etc.
Reasonably dust and wipe the items clean, please. If the items do not sell,
they will be donated to the library and to Goodwill.
Other Things we need: Not to sell, but to use:
If you let us borrow, please label your items with your name, so we can return
them.
Carts and wagons to haul plants

Plastic grocery bags for trash
Watering cans to water the plants if necessary
Old towels to wipe and mop the tables
Hand soap and a bucket to hold water to wash hands
Hand sanitizer in a pump bottle
A broom and dust pan to sweep up messes
