Houston Federation of Garden Clubs News-September 2023
The Houston Federation of Garden Clubs will hold its first meeting:
Date: Friday, September 8, 2023.
Location: Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, TX 77401.HFGC Monthly Meeting
Time: 10 am Social (lots of food), 10:30 am Business Meeting and Program (free).
Program: Getting to Know your Extension Office," Brandi Keller, Harris County
Extension Agent, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
Also, at the September 8th Federation meeting:
1. Christmas & Jolly HollyDays HFGC Christmas Brunch Gala & event tickets will go on
sale for $40 per person for program and brunch. Tickets usually sell out before
November. Gala Date: Friday, December 8, 2023. More details are coming soon.
2. Poinsettias grown by the Brookwood Community may be ordered at the
September meeting. This year they are $15.00 per pot. Red or White. Delivery is
expected by December 7, 2023.
All club presidents will be acknowledged and honored at this meeting. Find out
what other clubs are doing at the Local, District, and State levels!
Carpooling from this area will be arranged. Contact Leslie Wong if you want to
carpool. There are many folks from our area who will be attending this meeting. We may
need two or three cars.
